AI Workflow Workshops at Artefact

Context

As AI tools rapidly evolved, teams at Artefact needed guidance on how to adopt them effectively. Most designers were experimenting individually, but there was no shared framework for when and how to use AI in client projects.

I initiated a series of hands-on workshops to bridge this gap, moving from scattered experimentation to structured, repeatable workflows that the whole team could benefit from.

Format

Each workshop was a 2-hour session combining theory and practice. Participants worked on real project briefs, applying AI tools at different stages of the design process, from research synthesis to ideation to prototyping.

The sessions covered prompt engineering for designers, AI-assisted user research analysis, generating design variations, and building AI-powered prototypes. Each session ended with a critique of what AI did well and where it fell short.

Impact

The workshops created a shared language around AI within the design team. Teams started documenting their AI workflows, sharing prompts, and building on each other's experiments. The biggest win was shifting the conversation from "should we use AI?" to "how do we use it well?"
